Audi e-tron GT — Every OEM Activation You Can Unlock

The Audi e-tron GT was designed to use segmented Matrix LED headlights the same way in North America as it does in Europe. In practice, US and Canadian NAR-spec cars ship with the Matrix segments physically installed but software-disabled — a legacy of NHTSA lighting regulations that only recently began to allow adaptive beam control.

RetroLab Pro re-enables Matrix segment control on the headlight controller and restores the adaptive high beam behaviour Audi originally engineered:

• Per-segment LED masking of oncoming and preceding vehicles
• Dynamic light distribution based on speed, steering angle and navigation data
• Motorway mode for extended range
• Cornering mode at intersections
• Laser high beam engagement at motorway speeds (Laser-equipped trims)

This is a VIN-specific OEM activation performed through the RetroLab Pro app (Windows or iOS) with an ENet cable — just like the Q8 and other MLBevo Matrix activations. Model year 2024+ vehicles with SFD2 protection are also supported for an additional €100. Price: €200, one-time, permanent.

On trims with the Audi Sound System (option code PR-9VD), the factory MMI Sound menu only exposes Bass and Treble. There is a dedicated subwoofer built into the system, but its level is fixed and not adjustable independently.

In a grand-tourer EV cabin — where there is no combustion sound to mask anything — the subwoofer is one of the most audible parts of the entire system. Leaving it un-tunable means every fluctuation in low-end response is obvious, but you have no way to compensate.

RetroLab Pro unlocks a dedicated Subwoofer slider next to Bass in the MMI Sound menu. You can finally balance the low end for city driving vs. long touring highway runs. Requires MIB3 + PR-9VD. Not compatible with Bang & Olufsen 3D. Price: €50, one-time, permanent, VIN-verified.

The e-tron GT's front camera (PR-QK1) already reads speed limits and warning signs continuously — the Virtual Cockpit just never shows them, because the feature is dormant in the car's coding.

RetroLab Pro activates OEM TSR end-to-end — configuring the front camera, linking it to the Virtual Cockpit, and enabling the navigation-fused sign display so speed limits and other road signs are picked up from the road exactly like a factory-optioned car.

Due to how the e-tron platform's gateway and camera controllers are wired, this activation can only be performed through a guided remote session on a Windows PC with an ENet cable — there is no app-based path for this model, for any model year, the same as on the e-tron GE.

A few clarifications for e-tron GT owners looking around online:

• CarPlay / Android Auto — Not needed on the e-tron GT. The platform ships with both already enabled from the factory, so there is nothing to activate.
• Trunk Close on Key Fob — The e-tron GT does not use the same powered-tailgate architecture as the e-tron GE SUV / Sportback, so this activation is not offered here.
