Your Audi already has the front camera and Virtual Cockpit hardware for Traffic Sign Recognition. Audi never switched it on. RetroLab Pro activates it permanently — speed limits, no-overtaking signs and warning signs live in your Virtual Cockpit, exactly as Audi designed.
Most 2016–2020 models activate in under 25 minutes from home via the app.

Which path depends on your model year — both follow the same VIN verification and payment flow before anything runs.
No payment is taken until we confirm your VIN is compatible. Lifetime re-activation at no extra charge.

The current speed limit appears in real time in your Virtual Cockpit or DIS cluster — exactly as Audi designed for factory-coded vehicles with TSR active.
No-overtaking zones, end-of-restriction signs and common warning signs are displayed as they are read — not just speed limits.
On Audis with a head-up display, signs are mirrored onto the windscreen. An optional speed-alert chime in MMI settings can warn when the limit is exceeded.
We look up your VIN and confirm the exact hardware fitted — front camera (PR-QK1), cluster type (PR-9S7 / 9S8 / 9S9) and model year. If your car is compatible, we send you a payment link. Nothing is charged before that confirmation.
After payment, plug the ENet cable into your OBD port (driver-side footwell) and open RetroLab Pro. For app-path models, you tap Activate and the app writes the OEM TSR configuration directly. For remote sessions, our team runs the activation live while you watch — Windows PC and ENet cable required.
Drive normally and speed limits, no-overtaking signs and warning signs appear in your Virtual Cockpit. The licence is permanent and VIN-locked. If a dealer software update ever resets it, just rerun the app — reactivation is always free. Remote session reactivations are free too.

A6, S6 — RS6 Avant — A6 allroad — EU, UK & NAR
Covers the full C8 range: A6, S6, RS6 Avant and A6 allroad from 2018 to 2023. The model-year split is driven by the 2021 MIB3 gateway update — not a difference in the activation result. Both paths deliver identical OEM TSR behaviour in the Virtual Cockpit and head-up display. EU, UK and North American spec vehicles are all supported — including the US and Canadian RS6 Avant.
A7, S7, RS7 Sportback — EU, UK & NAR
All A7, S7 and RS7 Sportback C8 from 2018 to 2023 are supported. The 2021 gateway change that affects the A6 C8 applies here too — both share the same MLBevo platform architecture. Both activation paths produce an identical TSR result. EU, UK and North American vehicles are fully covered, including US-market S7 and RS7 Sportback.
Q5, Q5 Sportback, SQ5 — EU, UK & NAR
All Q5 FY and SQ5 model years from 2017 to 2023 activate via the RetroLab Pro app — no remote session required for any year. The SQ5 is covered identically to the standard Q5. EU, UK and North American spec vehicles are all supported — a popular activation for US and Canadian Q5 owners where mph limits and STOP signs are recognised correctly.
Q7, SQ7 — EU, UK & NAR
Q7 and SQ7 4M from 2015 to 2023 — one of the widest year ranges of any supported model. Three tiers reflect hardware generations, not a difference in the final activation result: TSR behaviour is identical across all years. The SQ7 activates with the same process as the Q7. EU, UK and North American vehicles are all supported.
Q8, SQ8, RSQ8 — EU, UK & NAR
All Q8, SQ8 and RSQ8 4M from 2018 to 2023. The 2021 gateway shift mirrors the same change on A6 and A7 C8 — both platforms were updated together. SQ8 and RSQ8 activate with exactly the same process as the standard Q8. EU, UK and North American spec vehicles are all supported, including US-market SQ8 and RSQ8.
A8, A8 L, S8 D5 — flagship — EU, UK & NAR
Audi's flagship Saloon in all configurations: A8, A8 L and S8 D5 from 2018 to 2023. EU, UK and North American spec vehicles fully supported.
e-tron, e-tron S, e-tron Sportback, Q8 e-tron — EU, UK & NAR
On the e-tron GE platform, TSR activates as part of the Functions on Demand (FoD) bundle — a single guided remote session unlocks TSR alongside Matrix lighting activation and Smartphone Interface. Covers e-tron, e-tron S, e-tron Sportback and Q8 e-tron across all years. EU, UK and North American spec vehicles are all supported.
e-tron GT, RS e-tron GT — EU, UK & NAR
TSR activates as part of the Functions on Demand (FoD) unlock on the PPE platform e-tron GT. The RS e-tron GT is covered with exactly the same process and identical result — same hardware, same activation. A guided remote session handles both FoD activations in a single sitting. EU, UK and North American vehicles fully supported.
