How to Unlock the Hidden Subwoofer Menu on Audi e-tron GT

Your Audi e-tron GT has a subwoofer built into the Audi Sound System — but the dedicated Subwoofer slider is hidden by default in the MMI Sound menu. In a silent EV grand-tourer cabin, every Hz of bass is audible. Here is how to unlock the hidden Subwoofer control on your e-tron GT.

Activation Price: €50One-time • Permanent • VIN-verified

What Is the Hidden Subwoofer Menu?

The Audi Sound System (option code PR-9VD) in the e-tron GT includes a dedicated subwoofer that reinforces the low frequencies of the 10-speaker system. However, in the factory MMI Sound menu, only Bass and Treble sliders are exposed. The subwoofer level itself is fixed at a default value and cannot be adjusted independently.

This activation unlocks a dedicated Subwoofer slider next to Bass in the MMI Sound settings, giving you independent control over subwoofer level — critical in a silent EV cabin where every fluctuation in low-end response is audible.

Which e-tron GT Models Support This?

Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT (2021–2023) with:

  • Audi Sound System (PR-9VD) — 10 speakers with subwoofer
  • MIB3 MMI infotainment system

Not supported: vehicles ordered with the Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system (different audio architecture), or e-tron GT without the PR-9VD option.
