Audi e-tron GT Matrix & Laser Headlights USA — 2021–2025 Activation Guide

Matrix and Laser headlight activation is available on 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 US-spec Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT.

The activation method depends on the model year:

• 2021–2023: app-based activation — €200 / ~$240 USD
• 2024–2025: guided remote session on a Windows PC (Audi's updated security architecture) — €300 / ~$360 USD

Headlight types on the e-tron GT:

• Matrix LED — standard on base e-tron GT trims. Adaptive high-beam, no add-ons.
• Laser LED — fitted to higher trims and all RS e-tron GT. Adds the Laser projector for long-range illumination, plus two available add-ons: Blue Laser Light and RS Animation.

Matrix LED activation restores the full adaptive high-beam system:

• Adaptive High Beam Assist — individual LED segments mask oncoming drivers and cyclists in real time, keeping the road fully lit
• Cornering Light — illuminates the direction of a turn before the car rotates
• Highway Mode — extended beam range at speed
• Intersection Mode — wider spread at low-speed junctions and crossings
• Dynamic Light Distribution — beam adapts continuously to speed, steering, and road conditions

Laser headlight add-ons (Laser-equipped cars only, +€50 / ~$60 each):

• Blue Laser Light — activates the factory laser projector for 500m+ high beam range, significantly extending what the Matrix LEDs alone can reach
• RS Animation — activates the RS-style dynamic sweep sequence on both headlights and taillights on lock/unlock

The e-tron GT runs on Audi's dedicated J1 electric platform — the Matrix/Laser activation is a direct OEM module write, identical in process to the A7, A8, and Q8.

2021–2023 models activate through the RetroLab Pro app:

• Windows PC + ENet cable (~$25 on Amazon), or
• iPhone 13/14 + Lightning-to-LAN adapter, or
• iPhone 15/16/17 + USB-C-to-LAN adapter

2024–2025 models require a guided remote session on a Windows PC + ENet cable. Our team connects remotely and performs the activation on your machine. Price: €300 / ~$360 USD.
