Audi A4 B9 Matrix Headlights USA — 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023 Activation Guide

Matrix headlight activation is available on 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 US-spec Audi A4 B9 vehicles.

The B9.5 facelift introduced Matrix LED headlights as an available option for the US market. 2019 and earlier A4 B9 models (pre-facelift) do not have the Matrix hardware and cannot be activated.

Required: factory Matrix LED headlights (PR-code 8G4). Typically available on Prestige trim and as part of the Technology Package. Check your window sticker or myAudi app — if "Matrix LED Headlights" is listed, you have the hardware.

Activating Matrix headlights on your US A4 restores the full adaptive high-beam system:

• Adaptive High Beam Assist — individual LED segments mask oncoming drivers and cyclists in real time
• Cornering Light — illuminates turns before the car rotates
• Highway Mode — extended beam range at higher speeds
• Intersection Mode — wider spread at low-speed junctions
• Dynamic Beam Distribution — adapts continuously to speed, steering, and road conditions
