What You Get
Audi Q8 4M trims with Audi Sound System (PR-9VD) leave the factory with only Bass and Treble in the MMI Sound menu. The subwoofer is wired and active inside the panoramic coupe-SUV cabin, but its level is fixed and can't be adjusted independently of the main bass anywhere in the interface. This activation switches on the hidden Subwoofer slider through a guided, VIN-specific OEM workflow in RetroLab Pro — no dealer visit, no remote coding, no manual scripts.
How It Changes Behavior
From factorythe Q8 MMI exposes only Bass and Treble. The coupe-SUV cabin's sloped rear glass changes how bass behaves at speed, but you have no way to compensate for it.
After activationa dedicated Subwoofer slider next to Bass lets you fine-tune the low end for the Q8's coupe-SUV cabin geometry — tight at motorway speed, full at city volumes.
