How to Unlock the Subwoofer Menu on Audi A5 F5 (MIB3)

The Audi A5 F5 with MIB3 has a Subwoofer adjustment slider hidden in the MMI software. Audi only shows Treble and Bass by default — but the dedicated Subwoofer control is already there, waiting to be switched on.

Activation Price: €50One-time • Permanent • VIN-verified

What Gets Unlocked?

After activation, your A5 F5's MMI Sound settings gain a dedicated Subwoofer slider alongside the existing Treble and Bass controls.

This gives you independent control over the subwoofer output — separate from the general Bass slider. You can push the low end harder without affecting the mid-range, or pull it back for a cleaner sound profile.

The A5's cabin acoustics, particularly in the Sportback body style, benefit noticeably from being able to dial in the subwoofer level independently. The sealed cabin of the Coupe amplifies low frequencies, making fine-tuning especially worthwhile.
