The e-tron GE's tailgate provides access to a practical cargo area. On an electric vehicle where you are often loading charging cables, shopping, or gear, being able to close the tailgate remotely is a genuine convenience.
After activation:
- Key fob remote close — Single press from normal range closes the tailgate
- Interior one-touch close — Works with and without the vehicle being "on" (EVs handle ignition state differently)
- Practical for EV life — Between charging cables, adapters, and the general cargo that comes with any SUV, the e-tron's tailgate gets frequent use. Remote closing saves a trip back to the car every time.
