The exact method and price depend on your headlight PR-code and model year:

  • PR-code 8G4 (Matrix LED), 2022–2023: activation runs directly through the RetroLab Pro app. €200 / ~$240 USD. Most Q8 e-tron owners fall into this tier.
  • PR-code 8G4 (Matrix LED), 2024: the 2024 model year uses Audi's SFD2 security layer. Activation is via a guided remote session on a Windows PC + ENet cable. €300 / ~$360 USD.
  • PR-code 8G5 (Digital Matrix Headlights), 2022–2024: Digital Matrix requires a guided remote session. €300 / ~$360 USD.
  • No PR-code 8G4 or 8G5, 2022–2023: remote session, €300 / ~$360 USD.
  • No PR-code 8G4 or 8G5, 2024: not supported.
