How to Activate Traffic Sign Recognition on Audi Q7 4M

Once activated, Traffic Sign Recognition on your Q7 4M uses the front camera (PR-QK1) to detect road signs in real time:

• Speed limit signs displayed directly in the Virtual Cockpit or Instrument Cluster Top
• No-passing zone indicators shown when relevant
• End-of-restriction signs automatically clear the displayed restriction
• Navigation integration supplements camera data with map-based speed information for improved accuracy

This is a full activation — not just a coding change. RetroLab Pro configures the camera module, links it to the cluster, and enables the complete data pipeline. The result works exactly as if it were factory-activated.

Traffic Sign Recognition is available on every Q7 4M generation (2015–2023), SQ7 included, but the Q7 4M is unusual in having three distinct pricing tiers depending on model year:

• 2015–2019 (pre-facelift): activation runs through the RetroLab Pro app. €75.
• 2020 (facelift, first year): activation still runs through the app. €100.
• 2021–2023 (facelift): activation can only be run through a guided remote session on a Windows PC + ENet cable. €300.

Required hardware (all generations): Front Camera (PR-QK1), Virtual Cockpit or Instrument Cluster Top, factory navigation system. 2024+ model years are not currently supported.

2015–2019 and 2020 (App activation): Windows PC + ENet cable, or iPhone 15/16/17 + USB-C to LAN adapter. Price: €75 (2015–2019) or €100 (2020), one-time, permanent, VIN-verified.

2021–2023 (Remote session only): Windows PC + ENet cable required. Price: €300, one-time, permanent, VIN-verified.
