The Audi Q8 e-tron and SQ8 e-tron delivered to Canada carry factory Matrix LED hardware — software-restricted before delivery. Canadian and US Q8 e-tron models are the same NAR build. This guide covers the full activation picture including three supported headlight types.
Matrix headlight activation is available on 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Canadian-spec Audi Q8 e-tron and SQ8 e-tron vehicles.
Three headlight configurations are supported: PR-8G4 (Matrix LED), PR-8G5 (Digital Matrix), and PR-8G9 (Prepared for Matrix). PR-8G4 on 2022–2023 activates via the app; all other combinations use a guided remote session.
PR-8G4 on 2022–2023: activate via the RetroLab Pro app on Windows PC or iPhone with ENet cable. Price: €200 / ~$240 USD.
All other combinations: guided remote session on Windows PC + ENet cable. Price: €300 / ~$360 USD.
