## Hardware & Connection Details

- Cable needed: a standard ENet cable (OBD-II connector on one end, RJ45 network connector on the other). It's usually yellow or blue and is often sold/labeled as a "BMW ENet" cable, but it works on Audi too — it's simply a standard DoIP (Diagnostics over IP) connection, not BMW-proprietary.
- OBD-II port location: on MLBevo platform Audis (A4/S4/RS4, A5/S5/RS5, A6/S6/RS6, A7/S7/RS7, A8/S8, Q5/SQ5, Q7/SQ7, Q8/SQ8/RSQ8, e-tron GE/GT), the OBD-II diagnostic port is located in the driver-side footwell.
- Windows PC: if the laptop has a built-in Ethernet (LAN) port, plug the ENet cable directly in. If not, use a standard USB-C or USB-A to LAN adapter, then plug the ENet cable into the adapter.
